During my summer vacation, it was everywhere: The Aztec Print. It comes in the form of Pants, Shirts, Sweaters, etc But what makes the old maya pattern so trendy? Is it maybe because it's colourful? Or because of it's daring colour combinations?
This fashion trend is thousands of years old. I have come to the conclusion that people buy it because young women like colourful things not dull and one coloured things so this is why they buy it :)
History of the Aztec print:
From the 14th to 16th Century, the Aztecs ruled parts of Mesoamerika. Their pyramids had those geometrical patterns (Circle, Triangle and/or Square) along with some of their writings. For today's fashion, designers have just added a lot of colours to it and ta-daa, it's a new fashion trend :D
