10 funny and weird phobias people suffer from

I have listed some phobias that people actually suffer from, "Phobia" is a greek word and it means 'fear'

Phobophobia-

Phobos in greek means fear too. So this phobia is the fear of fear. Unimaginable but there are people that suffer from it.

Caligynephobia-

This is the fear of beautiful women. It is mostly suffered by men (!) It can cause panic attacks and damages their social interactions.

Ablutphobia-

It is the fear of washing or cleaning your self. The people that have this phobia think that it is not doable. Mostly, it is found in women or children that are experiencing emotional instabilities or past traumas.

Spectrophobia-

This is the fear of looking at your own refection in the mirror or the dread of mirrors itself. Watching horror movies that have mirrors in them.

Chorophobia-

This is the fear of dancing in public. It often happens because the victims are afraid of humiliation when dancing in public.

Scopophobia-

This is the fear of being stared at or seen and/or attracting everyone's attention. The victims usually stay at home to avoid being stared at. This damages their social skills.

Chrometophobia-

This is the fear of money (!) Why would someone have a fear of money? Some people that have this, think that the money has germs on it. But wouldn't this be more a fear of germs?
These 'victims' prefer to use credit cards.

Arachibutyrophobia-

This extraordinary fear is, having peanut butter stuck on your plate. The trouble-free way to not get it stuck on your plate is to avoid buying peanut butter or not making any recipes containing peanut butter.

Peladophobia-

This is a fear of baldness. The people suffering from it get bothered and extremely alarmed whenever they see a bald person. To get to this fear, those people had either a bad childhood experience or heredity can be a probable cause.

Cathisophobia-

It is almost like Claustrophobia except that the one suffering from it has problems breathing whenever they sit down. This fear might have been developed from a traumatic experience.

These phobias only occur in our minds. It's all mentally. I, for instance, suffer form Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns.

Which fear are you suffering from??

Moms - Why we often fight with them

We all had fights with our parents, especially with our moms. They are the ones that gave birth to us and know when something's wrong. They tell us that everything's going to be alright even though it wouldn't be. But we still fight with them.

My mom, for example won't allow me to have Facebook, even though I think that I am in a responsible age. We have argued about it a lot of times and those tiny arguments developed into one big fight.
Maybe she doesn't let me have it because she wants me to be Unique or because everyone else has it.

Of course, when we fight with our moms, we are angry at this point but after, when we think better about it, when we're calm, we can try to understand why she won't let me have it.
The thing with our moms is that they expect you to be responsible.
The thing with my mom is, that she's too overprotective!

I hope that one day I'll finally get Facebook ;) you guys can add me in 40 years when Facebook will be old and something new will be invented ;)

Watch this funny video :)
We just love our mommies

Fallen Series - Lauren Kate

So, in the Fallen Series there are 4 Major Books: Fallen, Torment, Passion and Rapture and there is one extra book called: Fallen - in love. The series are fiction and the movie will start shooting in September 2013!!

The genre of the books/series is romance and action.
The protagonists are Daniel Grigori and Luce (Lucinda) Price. Daniel, which is the angel, has lived many lives and in all his lives he elopes with only one person: Luce.
Their love would be perfect except for the curse that lasts upon them. Whenever they kiss, Luce goes up in flames and burns to death. After 17 years, Daniel and Luce meet again and fall in love all over again until she dies. Only Luce is able to break it and prevent that Lucifer (an evil gargoyle) erases what has happened so far till the Fall (when the angels came to earth, the fall took 9 days).

In Fallen it is the introduction on how they meet. When Luce first looks at Daniel she falls immediately in love with him. She was transferred to Sword's and Cross (a boarding school for problematic young adults) after an accident at her old school happened). Luce always saw shadows. Daniel told her that they were called Announcers and they were the souls of her past life. She could travel in them if she stepped in them.

Sadly I haven't read the second book: Torment but Passion (the third book) is also very interesting. Luce wants to find out how to break the curse and travels through the Announcer. On her journey through different time periods, she meets her helper and assistant Bill (which at the end turns out to be the evil gargoyle Lucifer).

In Rapture the angels and Luce try to stop Lucifer from erasing the past. They only have nine days to stop him, find the relics and the place where the fall began. On their way they face a lot of obstacles and enemies which also try to stop Lucifer.

Cast:
Luce (Lucinda) Price - Kaya Scodelario
Daniel Grigori - Alex Pettyfer
Cam Briel - Adam Gregory
Arianne Alter - Elizabeth Gillies
Gabbe Givens - Tiffany Thornton
Roland Sparks - Corbin Bleu
Miles - Brant Daugherty
Shelby - Ayla Kell

Spring Breaker's Movie Review

The story is about 4 friends: Brit, Candy, Cotty, Faith, want to go to Spring Break, they robbed a Diner to get the money for their trip. Once they arrive, their Motto is: Party -all the time. Until they land in Jail. The 'rapper'/ drug dealer Alien pays the fee for them to get out and soon there is a dangerous connection between them. Together they experience the craziest trip of their lives.

For me, the movie was okay. I expected it to be different and there were parts where the story didn't make sense but the soundtrack was very good (listen to it below). A lot of text got repeated and a lot of bad language was used. The film would be better if some of the bad words would be cut out and replaced through an actual conversation. But it's your desicion, watch the trailer below and add your comments :)

Soundtrack:

Lights - Ellie Goulding

Cyber bullying- Enough is Enough

There is a stage in our lives where we experience a type of bullying or cyber bullying and without knowing it we become bullies too. If we laugh at the video on YouTube of a weird kid from school, air drumming on the bus, etc...
I have experienced this. I saw a video on You Tube of a friend of mine that did some weird things, his 'best friend' uploaded it and wrote some mean comments.

The sad thing is that the victims that get bullied can't do anything against it. And sadly, the rest of the people don't defend the victim, they are afraid that they'll get bullied as well!
Speak up, this is the time where you'll learn who your real friends are :) you just have to dare something in life...

Clothes Disaster

Everyday, the same question occurs my head: What will I wear today?
I stand in front of my huge wardrobe with a lot of clothes in it but I can't really decide on what I want to wear.
I pull a cute top out: Nahh, too see-through. Or the pair of pants: No, today will be a very warm day.
We girls can't decide what to wear but for boys it's easy. Why is it for us girls so hard to decide?
We feel tempted to look fabulous, neat, pretty and appropriate. We want to be like the rest of the society and as the German saying, says: Make fine birds (Kleider machen Leute).

It took me a lot of overcoming to wear my Aztec-Print pants to school. I finally wore them today with great success ^^  Even though they look really pretty I always observed them with a critical eye: Colors are too bright, or pattern is not appropriate enough, etc...

It is a girls' thing, that we can't decide what we want to wear even though we're standing in front of a huge selection of clothes but sometimes you just have to try out something new ;)

Crazy Sweets

While a normal sandwich for school is boring, you'll find loads of new ideas in this post about the new trendy snack from New York: Cronuts. The french pasteur, Dominique Ansel, as said, french and owner of a bakery in Manhattan invented those Cronuts. For the dough, the same ingredients come in as for a Croissant, then they get fried in oil like a donut. The icing and decoration also is on Cronuts like it is for donuts. Below you can also find other cookie ideas ;)

Perfect Nails

Everyone's nails are different. Some have crazy designs on them, others are just one-coloured and then there are others that don't even bother to paint there nails or at least take good care of them. Nails show our personality (eg. if we are clean and organised or not). There are only three easy steps to clean them.

Step 1: Dip your nails into a bowl of lukewarm water, depending on what you like, you can also put squeezed lemon juice in it.

Step 2: After you dried your nails, you have to clean them. Personally, I use a nail scissor.

Step: After you cleaned them you cut as short as you wish. The last step in this cleaning procedure is to hone down your nails so that the rough parts of your nail (that might have happened from cutting) will be smooth again.

Now you can either leave them like that or paint them. Below are some examples of nail designs.

I wish I had...

...long legs:
You wish your legs would be longer? No problem, here are some tips to get you what you want:

Striped Skinny pants

The vertical stripes will visually make your legs look longer.

...a flat belly:
With wide shirts you can make your belly look its best!

Unlike tight shirts that show every muscle, this Tunika is perfect to cover unwanted parts of your upper body.

...thinner upper arms:
To make your upper arms look thinner we have to options. The Tunika that also makes your belly flat and the blouse (below).

The long sleeves will cover your muscular upper arms perfectly. This blouse also has, instead of tight long sleeves, airy long sleeves.

Being Cool

Weren't there days where you wanted to be cool just like the girl that walked past you? I've had days like that. I've given a thought about it and came up with a conclusion. The key, for me, for being 'cool' is to be Unique. Having what everyone else has only makes you one of many.
But having something that no one has, or very few have makes you cool.

A hidden talent or anything like that could make you Unique. You don't have to be like others just to be cool. I mean, if everyone starts jumping off, of high buildings just because it's cool, would you do it? No, right? ;)

Aztec Print

During my summer vacation, it was everywhere: The Aztec Print. It comes in the form of Pants, Shirts, Sweaters, etc But what makes the old maya pattern so trendy? Is it maybe because it's colourful? Or because of it's daring colour combinations?

This fashion trend is thousands of years old. I have come to the conclusion that people buy it because young women like colourful things not dull and one coloured things so this is why they buy it :)

History of the Aztec print:
From the 14th to 16th Century, the Aztecs ruled parts of Mesoamerika. Their pyramids had those geometrical patterns (Circle, Triangle and/or Square) along with some of their writings. For today's fashion, designers have just added a lot of colours to it and ta-daa, it's a new fashion trend :D

Frozen Yoghurt

Frozen Yoghurt is a nice way to cool off during summer. These yoghurts are available in every flavour and you can decorate them with anything.
If you have never tried one, or want to try something different, you can do it according to the recipe (below) enjoy :)

What you need: (for 800g)
-1kg of unflavoured Yoghurt
-4 egg whites
a pinch of salt
one tea spoon of grated vanilla bean

How to do it:
Place the yoghurt, on a with kitchen paper covered, strainer and let it drain for at least six hours.
After that, the yoghurt should have the consistency of cream cheese or curd.
With a mixer, mix the egg whites with the pinch of salt. (The egg white should be foamy)
Slowly add the sugar. When everything is mixed, pour the mass into the yoghurt (which should in the meantime have the tea spoon of grated vanilla bean) and put the batter/mass into small cups that then will go off into the freezer.
If you do this without an ice cream machine then you have to mix the mass every 15 minutes. You do this so long, till the mass is evenly frozen.

There is your frozen yoghurt!! :)
Later on, you can decorate it with strawberries, Oreos, Nutella, biscuits, etc.

Ps: This song will entertain you while you make the frozen yoghurt... Miss Murray-Timid Tiger
